The Golden Closet Newsletter/Blog October, 2009
The Golden Closet is pleased to announce the addition of several exciting new screen used entertainment memorabilia items now available to collectors through our website.
Since October is the Halloween month, our first featured item is a watch fob with chain that was worn by the evil vampire Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) in the hit film “Twilight” starring Edward Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The actress wore the item prominently as a necklace in the very final scene of the film. Detailed information and images can be found at the link below:
A new featured item also from the action horror genre now available is an outfit worn by the character Jericho Cane worn by actor and current California state governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar in the 1999 motion picture “End Of Days”. The outfit consists of a grey tank top, brown dress shirt, and black pair of pants that appeared prominently in different combinations and action sequences throughout the film. More information can be found at the link below:
Another unique Halloween themed item we’re currently featuring is a custom tailored one of a kind garment that was used by a background musician character in the original “Addams Family” movie starring Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston. This truly “sleeveless” tuxedo jacket has no arms as the character played standup bass using a single limb that protruded from his chest while the “Thing” character plucked the strings. More information on this conversation piece collector’s item can be found at the link below:
Vintage Hollywood collectors will be interested in viewing the pair of woolen knickers worn by comedic legend Oliver Hardy in the 1943 comedy classic “Jitterbugs” also starring Stan Laurel. The pants are in very good condition and are complete with the original 20th Century Fox label sewn inside with Mr. Hardy’s name clearly typed. Details at link below:
Our Pop Diva collection continues to expand this month with two beautiful vintage garments worn by singer Beyonce in the motion picture adaptation of the Broadway smash “Dreamgirls” starring Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy. Detailed images and information can be found at the links below:
Also added this month is a vintage black leather jacket worn by singer Taylor Swift in a Rolling Stone Magazine pictorial. Details below:
