Our inventory is acquired directly from a number of exclusive Hollywood sources and inner industry contacts including:

How do we know that we have the AUTHENTIC article?

We go to great lengths to authenticate our memorabilia and positively identify them through personal verification by those directly involved in the item’s usage, physical condition, corroboration from inner industry professionals, and also rely on a vast resource of photographic, film, and archival evidence. All items are authenticated prior to sale and are provided with a signed letter of authenticity, documenting the source, use, and production details.

 

I have a collectible item I wish to sell. Can you help?

Yes. We do purchase individual items, whole collections, movie sets, cars, and other screen used ephemera. You name it! However, the memorabilia being offered must come from a reputable and verifiable source and be substantiated with sufficient documentation or other proof of authenticity.

The Golden Closet may also represent items on a consignment basis, as we currently do for a number of respected industry sources. How do I go about purchasing an item from you?

You may contact The Golden Closet through our email address, by phone, or arrange a direct sale via our shopping cart facilities here on our website, www.thegoldencloset.com.

We will then confirm the sale details, shipping address, shipping method, and final cost. The following expenses are the responsibility of the buyer: packing shipping, handling, and insurance for our mutual protection. A minimum shipping and handling fee of $10.00 will be added on all purchases. Once payment has been received in full, the item(s) will be shipped directly to the buyer’s preferred shipping address.

 

What shipping methods do you use?

IN THE UNITED STATES:

FED EX: Most items are shipped via FedEx Express delivery unless arranged otherwise

UPS: Any preferred method

USPS: An additional packing fee of $10.00 will be charged to the shipping estimate for delivery by United States Postal Service.

INTERNATIONAL:

  • FED X: Any preferred method
  • UPS: Any preferred method
  • USPS: Only if the item is $2000.00 or less
  • Buyer is responsible for the insurance and duties.

 

How long does it take to process my order?

Orders generally take 2-3 business days to process after payment has been received in full. Alternate methods of shipping may be agreed upon if special conditions apply and are at the discretion of The Golden Closet.

 

Can you ship outside the 48 contiguous United States?

Yes. We can ship virtually anywhere in the world, providing the buyer takes responsibility for the shipping and handling charges including:

  • Packing
  • Insurance
  • Duties/Tariffs

Buyer is also aware that The Golden Closet is not responsible for any damage
that may occur during the shipping process. Once the items have been shipped The Golden Closet is released of any liabilities.

What are your refund/return policies?

All sales are considered final once the item has been paid for and shipped.  Refunds or returns are permissible at the sole discretion of the Golden Closet. We urge our clients and customers to be diligent and responsible when making a purchase. If an item is proven to be inauthentic or misrepresented the purchaser will be granted a refund. In these events, purchases made via credit card, PayPal, and certified check or money order will be refunded minus any and all credit card processing and/or shipping fees provided the item is returned in its original condition and is free from damage or wear. All item condition is verified and documented by The Golden Closet prior to the sale and shipping.
