The black wristwatch was worn by the character “Jack Bauer” portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland in the iconic television series “24”. The Special Ops watch was made by MTM, a leading manufacturer of tactical timepieces made to GSA approved military standards and used by Special Forces and Navy Seals. This was Jack Bauer’s signature style watch worn throughout season four, five, and six. The watch is one of a limited number that were purchased for the production and were all screen used. This watch was used for 'beauty' and "close up" shots and has very little distress and is in working condition. Most of the back up time pieces were damaged or destroyed while filming the extensive action sequences making this an extremely rare signature collectible from the show. The manufacturers charging device is included with the sale of this item.
A specific example of the actor wearing this style watch can be seen “Day 5: 7:00am – 8:00am” (Season 5, Episode 1) during the scene after Bauer has learned that President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) has been assassinated and decides to come back out of hiding after faking his death at the end of the previous season. Jack then grabs his gun and puts on his old trademark watch and a pair of sunglasses, symbolically showing that he’s officially “back” in action. Apart from numerous other onscreen appearances, the actor is also featured wearing this style watch in the book “24: Behind The Scenes” as well as on the Season 4 DVD box set, and in promotional images for Season 5. The watch is in good screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Property Master who oversaw its use during production.
