| These garments were worn by the character “Kitty Fane” portrayed by actor Naomi Watts in the 2006 film “The Painted Veil”, co-starring Liev Schreiber, and Edward Norton. This custom made 1920's style blue linen sleeveless day dress features a white lace collar, cap sleeves, drop waist, self-belt, and box pleat skirt and includes contemporary white lace up tennis shoes, with distress from the production. The skirt exhibits minor staining on the front.
Mrs. Watts wears this ensemble when she finds her husband “Walter” (Edward Norton) on the river bank, talking to a local farmer. Walter invites her on a boat ride, which turns out to be beautiful. Walter shows Kitty the water diversion system he's designing. Afterwards, as the sun sets, they have a quiet, romantic ride home together, finally feeling close as a couple. The white tennis shoes come with a copy of the production continuity page.
These garments is in excellent screen worn condition and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
