This vest was worn by one of four Super Dave street dancers in the hit 1980’s sketch comedy “Bizarre”. The cream linen vest has a six-button front closure, two front pockets, buckle back, and “Super Dave’s Street Dancers” on the back. The vest was worn in Season 4, Episode 1 (Aired September 15, 1983). In this episode, Super Dave kicks off his world tour by demonstrating his street dancing skills to Laura Branigan’s hit 1982 song, “Gloria.” Four backup dancers wearing the vests accompany him during this performance.

Bizzare is a Canadian half-hour sketch comedy show that aired from 1980 to 1986. The series featured slapstick sketches, monologues, TV parodies, and guest comic performances. Some of the famous guest comedians it featured during it’s six year run were Steve Allen, Redd Foxx, Victoria Jackson, Howie Mandel and many others. Bizarre was hosted by veteran performer, Jon Byner, and regularly featured Bob Einstein as Super Dave Osborne, a spoof of daredevils such as Evil Knievel.

This item is in excellent screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
