This piano coat was worn by the character “Rozalin Focker” portrayed by actress Barbra Streisand in the 2004 motion picture comedy, “Meet the Fockers.” The vintage garment is constructed out of silk material with velvet flocking. Long knotted tassels line the edge of the fabric with a large image of a Buddha symbol printed on the back.
Rozalin wears this coat in a number of memorable scenes, including when she argues with Jack (Robert De Niro) over the raising of his grandson, and is interrupted by little Jack who utters his infamous first words "ass-hole".
Meet the Fockers is a sequel to the highly successful 2000 comedy, “Meet the Parents” directed by Jay Roach. The film features an all-star comedic cast, which propelled the film to make over 515 million dollars at the worldwide box office.
