These helmets were worn by a background characters in the 2008 live action film, "Speed Racer." The “3 Roses” helmet is designed to look like a sunset with three painted roses on the front, “ 3 Roses” painted on the back, and a sculpted rose vine with thorns at the visor. The Musha Motors helmet is painted blue with Japanese characters printed in orange, silver arrow down the front, “Musha Motors” logo on the sides, and a clear visor. The chalkboard helmet was not used in the production and was most likely a back up.
These racing helmets can be seen during Speed Racer’s (Emile Hirsch) first race at Thunderhead Raceway. Speed tries to beat his brother’s racing record, but at the last minute he slows down to let his brother’s record stand.
The helmets are in very good screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house. Presented by The Golden Closet, your premier source for iconic screen used wardrobe, props, and music entertainment memorabilia.
