This tie was worn by the character “Dalton Trumbo” portrayed by Bryan Cranston in the 2015 motion picture “Trumbo,” co-starring Helen Mirren and John Goodman. The vintage red, white, and burgundy stiped tie is constructed out of a textured Rayon Bouclé. Attached is the production hold tag with “Hold @ Eastern, 1. Dalton, Ch. 14” and “TRUMBO” hand written on the verso.
Mr. Cranston wears this tie while visiting “Arlen Hird” (Louis C.K.) in the hospital, after Arlen was diagnosed with cancer. “Trumbo” revolves around screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and the other “Hollywood Ten” artists that were blacklisted in the film industry for their political beliefs. Bryan Cranston was nominated for Best Actor at the 88th Academy Awards, and Helen Mirren was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards.
