This military jacket was worn by the character "Sgt. Maj.'Goody' Nelson," portrayed by actor James Earl Jones, in Francis Ford Coppola's 1987 motion picture, "Gardens of Stone." The navy blue United States Army Honor Guard dress jacket with brass buttons and gold piping around the cuffs has been professionally restored with military ribbons and insignia identical to those seen in the film. The garment was custom tailored for use by the actor and has the original HAAS Tailoring Company label sewn inside. Includes a military order slip and comes complete with the costumer's tag with the actor name "J.E. Jones" and production date "5-23-86" clearly written.

Mr. Jones wore the garment in several notable scenes throughout the film. He also wore the jacket in the official trailer for the picture. "Gardens of Stone," based on the novel of the same title by Nicholas Proffitt, features James Caan, Anjelica Huston, and James Earl Jones.
