| This shotgun was used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the “The Terminator”. The Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun with serial number AB3482 includes a folding stock and has been modified to shoot blank rounds. The Terminator uses the shotgun to steal weapons from a gun store clerk then proceeds to hunt for “Sarah Connor” (Linda Hamilton). Eventually the Terminator tracks Sarah and “Kyle Reese” (Michael Biehn) to a police station, where the Terminator takes out the policemen attempting to stop him from abducting Sarah Connor. The folding stock was removed for use in this scene and the Terminator fired the gun with one hand displaying the strength of a cyborg.
The property master rigged the rear sling mount with a black cord that attached to Arnolds wrist, which allowed Arnold to bare the weight of gun with one hand. The sling mount was broken off and the bolt charging handle was removed by the armorer division of the props house for use in a subsequent production.
