| This garment was worn by the character “Madeleine Morando” portrayed by actress Mille Vitale in the 1955 motion picture “The Seven Little Foys”. The ballerina costume with silk bodice and rhinestone detail has a multi layer tool skirt. The bodice has slight staining and discoloration, swan feathers have been removed, and the top layer of tool has been repaired. Internal Paramount label with “Ms. Vitale” hand written in fountain pen.
Ms. Vitale wears this garment during the showcase performance while the booking agent is waiting to watch “Eddie Foy’s” (Bob Hope) comedy routine. Becoming impatient at the length of the dance, Madeleine Morando’s set, Eddie jumps into the dance number and improvises a comedy act along with the ballerina to catch the booking agents attention before he leaves.
This garment is in good vintage condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
