This flight suit was worn by the character "Harry S. Stamper," portrayed by actor Bruce Willis, in the 1998 motion picture "Armageddon." The Air Force issue flight suit is constructed of a green cotton material and is complete with the original screen used NASA and American flag patches and "Harry" nametag sewn on the breast. The character name "Harry" is handwritten inside the military label located in the collar.
Mr. Willis wore this suit in several notable scenes when Harry and his crew of drillers train and prepare for their astronaut mission at NASA to try and save the world from being destroyed by a gigantic meteor.
"Armageddon" was directed by Michael Bay and featured an all star cast including Steve Buscemi, Ben Affleck, and Liv Tyler. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1999, including Best Visual and Sound Effects, Best Music, and Best Sound.
