This Deco style gold metal bracelet was worn by the character Eva Peron portrayed by actress Madonna in the 1996 motion picture Evita. The bracelet has seven double interlocking tulip shaped links embossed with scrolls and cut glass stones interspersed with gold metal ovals set with cut glass stones.
Madonna wore this bracelet with the purple dress, matching fur trimmed shawl, and vintage floral hat that appears in the Polo match scene, and she was also featured in the November 1996 issue of Vanity Fair wearing the complete outfit.
Directed by Alan Parker, the Musical film was adapted from the stage Musical by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the film also starred Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Pryce. Evita was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, winning for best Original Song and Madonna won a Golden Globe for best Actress in a Musical/Comedy. The bracelet is in very good condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
