This period dress was worn by the character, "Helen Chester," portrayed by actress Barbara Britton, in the 1955 motion picture, "The Spoilers." The two piece dress consists of brown fitted jacket with hounds-tooth sleeves, notch lapel, and four button frog closure. The floor length skirt has matching hounds-tooth panels with three-button detail, which was added for use in a subsequent production. Internal Universal International Pictures labels with "Barbara Britten" (sic) hand written. The tassel trim on the jacket was removed, the frog closure added.
