These pants were worn by the character “Billy Bright” portrayed by Dick Van Dyke in the 1969 film “The Comic”, costarring Mickey Rooney and Michele Lee. The ivory cotton twill pants have two slash pockets, buckle sides, button fly, and cuffs. Internal “Western Costume” label with “2450-2 Dick Van Dyke waist 31 inseam 23 ½” typed in black ink. Mr. Van Dyke wears these pants while filming the “Whitee Wash” detergent commercial driving off the Green Acres property in the 1924 Silver Ghost Rolls Royce (formerly owned by Harold Lloyd) also use in “Sabrina”. Costume design by Guy V. Verhille.
This garment is in excellent vintage condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
