This coat was worn by character “Steve Wallace” portrayed by Kirk Douglas in the 1972 film “The Master Touch”. This grey wool herringbone overcoat has a notched lapel, three button closure, two flap pockets, and matching gray lining. Internal “Western Costume Co.” label with “2040-1 Kirk Douglas #1, chest 42, sleeve 17 ¼” typed and “TONEY” handwritten over the label. The coat has a few tiny holes in the right shoulder. This garment was made by prolific Italian costume designer Enrico Sabbatini.
Mr. Douglas wears this overcoat throughout the film, which follows him as he is released from jail and attempts one final heist. This garment is in good vintage condition, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
