This dress was worn by the character “Hedda Hopper” portrayed by Helen Mirren in the 2015 motion picture “Trumbo,” starring Bryan Cranston and co-starring John Goodman. The vintage navy and cream polka dot chiffon dress, long sleeve with pointed cuffs, pleated chiffon skirt, and wide cream leather polka dot belt with a big self-buckle. The material on the buckle is fraying. Attached is the production hold tag with “Hold @ Eastern, #3. Hedda Hopper, Ch. 15” written on the front and “TRUMBO” written on the verso. Also attached is the costumer tag with “Trumbo, 3. Hedda Hopper, Actor Hellen Mirren, Change 15, Day N70, Scenes 226, 228” written on the front and “Bra – “what katie did” peach satin 34DD, Hose – “Spanx” Super Shaping Sheeks Nude 1 B, Dress – Navy/Cream polka dots chiffon Bt to waist, c, a., l/s w/ cuffs pleated skirt EC, Belt – wide cream leather w/ big self buckle DC kit, Shoes – taupe suede peep toe heels “Remix” 9, Pin – coral egret on branch set in gold w/ clear rhinestones, Necklace - single strand pearl necklace “Majonica”, Earrings – pink pearl cluster clip ons, Hat – Flat brim wide pink floral, Bracelet – trip pearl strand” written on the verso.

Mirren wears this dress when she calls Executive Producer “Ed Muhl” (Mark Harelik) the night of the Spartacus premiere, demanding that he remove “Screen Play by Dalton Trumbo” from the Spartacus credits.

“Trumbo” revolves around screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and the other “Hollywood Ten” artists that were blacklisted in the film industry for their political beliefs. Helen Mirren was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, and Bryan Cranston was nominated for Best Actor at the 88th Academy Awards.

This item is in excellent screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
