This hat was worn by the character “Tony” portrayed by Andreas Wisniewski in the 1988 film “Die Hard”, starring Bruce Willis. The red velvet Santa hat has white faux fur trim with a screen matched distressed pom-pom with dark grease stains. Internal #22 is hand written.
After killing Tony, one of Hans Gruber’s (Alan Rickman) henchmen, Mr. Willis puts the Santa Hat on his slumped body in the elevator and writes “Now I have a machine gun Ho-Ho-Ho” on his sweater and sends him down to Hans on the first floor.
“Die Hard” is the first installment of the “Die Hard” franchise, which has grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide. This film revolves around New York City cop John McClane visiting his wife (Bonnie Bedelia) at her business’s holiday party on Christmas Eve. A group of terrorists soon take over the business headquarters, leaving McClane the only one who can save everyone.
This item was acquired direct from the “Collection of Bruce Willis”, and is in excellent screen worn condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
