These green breeches were worn by the character “James T. West,” portrayed by actor Robert Conrad, in the television show, “The Wild Wild West.” The pants are constructed of light-weight green cotton and have black elastic stirrups sewn to the hem of the pant to keep the garment from rising.
“The Wild Wild West,” which ran from 1965-1969, was a showed conceived as “James Bond on horseback.” The series was nominated for three Emmy Awards and spawned two television movies in 1979 and 1980, and an adapted motion picture in 1999 starring Will Smith.
The breeches are in vintage screen worn condition with some evidence of wear in the knees and some minor distress. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
