This gray two-piece period frock coat and matching pants were worn by the character Edward Rochester portrayed by legendary actor Orson Welles in the 1944 motion picture adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s 'Jane Eyre', which also starred Joan Fontaine. The jacket comes complete with the original Western Costume Company label sewn inside with the name 'Orson Welles' clearly written. The pants have the original Twentieth Century Fox wardrobe stamp visible inside. This amazing artifact from one of Hollywood’s most renowned performers will make an impressive addition to any collection of vintage motion picture memorabilia. Both garments are in very good screen worn condition and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
