This deputy's shirt was worn by a Hazzard County Sheriff’s Dept. Deputy in the classic television series “The Dukes of Hazzard” which ran from 1979-1985”. The blue long sleeve button front shirt with flap pockets is complete with the original shoulder patches used on the show. The left shoulder is adorned with an American flag patch and the right has the original “Sheriff’s Dept., Hazzard County” patch that was custom made for use on the production.

This shirt was worn by one of the background Hazzard County deputies in one or more unidentified episodes from the series, which often featured multiple members of the Hazzard County Sheriff's department as they repeatedly get outwitted by the “Duke” brothers “Bo” and “Luke” (played by John Schneider and Tom Wopat).

The garment is in very good condition with minor evidence of wear from its use on the series and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.

“The Dukes of Hazzard” gained immense popularity during its six-year run and remains a television comedy classic. The series was nominated for an Emmy in 1984 for “Outstanding Individual Achievement” to the show’s costumers, Bob Christenson and Hope Slepak.
