This dress was worn by Spring Byington as “Mama Kingshead” in the 1953 motion picture “No Room for the Groom”. The two-tone mauve and pink watermarked taffeta long sleeve dress has thirteen covered buttons, trimmed in delicate lace with self-belt. Internal Universal International label with “SPRING BYINGTON” handwritten. Designed by Bill Thomas.
Worn when Tony Curtis refuses to sign the contract. Exhibits slight staining under arms.
This garment is in good vintage condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
