This vest was worn by the character "Francois Durnais," portrayed by actor Frank Sinatra, in the 1960 musical film, "Can-Can." The vest has the original Western Costume Company label is sewn inside with the name "Frank Sinatra" clearly typed.

Mr. Sinatra wore this vest as part of his signature outfit throughout much of the film. He performs two of the films musical numbers, "Let's Do It" and "It's All Right with Me," while wearing the vest as part of his 3-piece suit. "Can-Can," featuring Frank Sinatra, Shirley MacLaine, Maurice Chevalier, Louis Jourdan, and Juliet Prowse, was nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Costume Design, and a Golden Globe Award in 1961.

The vest is in very good distressed vintage screen worn condition with slight fraying at the arm opening due to age and use on production.
