This Ambulance jacket was worn by the character "Victor Prinzim" (AKA “Captain Chaos”) portrayed by late actor Dom DeLuise in the 1981 motion picture comedy classic “The Cannonball Run” starring long time collaborator Burt Reynolds. The Size L bright orange windbreaker with white and blue banded sleeves has a medical technician patch on the breast and is in excellent screen worn condition. The two shoulder patches were added later for use in a separate production. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
Mr. DeLuise wore the garment in multiple scenes throughout the film as he and his partner "J.J. McClure" (portrayed by Reynolds) travel disguised as E.M.T.’s in an attempt to win the fabled “Cannonball Run”.
Based on an actual illegal cross country auto racing event, “The Cannonball Run” featured an all star cast including Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior, Farrah Fawcett, Roger Moore, Peter Fonda, Terry Bradshaw, and a very early American film appearance by martial arts legend Jackie Chan.
