This outfit was worn by the character Emma, portrayed by actress Whitney Houston in the 2012 feature film “Sparkle”. The ensemble is an original “Rona” New York 1960’s dress and matching jacket. The garments are constructed out of a coffee colored wool material with a cream trim.

This outfit is prominently featured in the movie trailer and worn in the beginning of the film where Emma jokes with Sparkle about dancing provocatively. “Sparkle” was the last film that Whitney Houston performed in before her untimely death. Critics rave that Houston’s performance was incredible and the film was an amazing exit for the iconic entertainer. USA Today’s Caludia Puig wrote, “Sparkle adds a bright facet to Whitney Houston’s legacy” and “Sparkle is a fitting curtain call”.

This garment is in excellent screen worn condition with minor evidence of wear from its use on the production and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from costume house who rented the dress to the production company.
