This garment was worn by the character “Noxeema” portrayed by actor Wesley Snipes in the 1995 motion picture “To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar”, starring Patrick Swayze. This vintage 1960’s robe is constructed out of a green nylon material with ball tassels trim.
Mr. Snipes wears this garment while staying at “Carol Ann’s” (Stockard Channing’s) bed and breakfast hotel. The trio of drag queens bicker and laugh in their room as Noxeema lounges on her bed. “To Wong Foo” is a film about three New York City drag queens that travel across the country towards Hollywood for a national drag queen contest. Their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in the small town of Syndersville.
