This costume was worn by the character “Ira Enright” portrayed by Bob Hutton in “Too Young to Know”, Warner Bros., 1945. The khaki military jacket has a peak lapel, epaulets, two flap patch breast pockets, and two flaps over lower slash pockets. Internal Warner Bros. Pictures label inscribed “Bob Hutton, size 38” and stamped “Ferre, 2C643,”. Inscribed on lining “Waltons”, stamped in inner sleeve “Bob Hutton 2C643 Warner Br” . The tan wool long sleeve button down military shirt with two flap pockets and gold metal buttons. Has in internal Warner Bros. Pictures label with “643 Bob. Hutton 14/35” and stamped “6 DOUBLES 1C63?” The shirt exhibits a light small stain on front and buttons have been replaced for use in subsequent production.
This costume was worn when Ira meets Dolores Moran “Patsy O’Brien” in India and reveals that his ex-wife had a baby boy and gave him up for adoption.
The insignia and tie were added for display purposes only and not included with the sale of this costume.
The wardrobe pieces are in excellent vintage condition and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the costume house.
