This blue, tan, and gold vertically striped robe was worn by the character Ahmad portrayed by actor Billy Gilbert in the 1942 motion picture ARABIAN NIGHTS. The robe is in good screen worn condition with some minor staining and comes complete with the original Western Costume Company label sewn inside with the name BILLY GILBERT handwritten in slightly faded ink. ARABIAN NIGHTS was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1943, including Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography and included a performance by Shemp Howard (of Three Stooges fame) in the role of Sinbad. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
