This garment was worn by the character “Dennis” portrayed by John Candy in the 1991 motion picture “Nothing But Trouble” This navy blue custom made single breast police coat is a size 56 and includes custom made police badge from the town of “Valkenvainia”, shoulder patches, brass buttons with crest and “Salzburg” embossed, two flap pockets, single gold cuff stripe, and internal white name strip with “John Candy” hand written in black ball point pen. The badge and shoulder patches were replicated by the motion picture artists, who made the originals for this production.
Mr. Candy wears this garment in a few scenes throughout the film, specifically in when he is first seen in the film pulling over “Chris Thorne” (Chevy Chase) and “Diane Lightson” (Demi Moore) for speeding. He also wears this coat in a later scene where he, Chris, and Diane are going to see the town judge.
This garment is in excellent screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
