This jacket was worn by the character “Comdt. Mauser” portrayed by actor Art Merano in the 1986 motion picture “Police Academy 3: Back in Training”. This grey police captain jacket with three gold stripes at sleeves, flap pouch pockets at upper chest and flaps over lower slash pockets, self-epaulets, four gold button front closure and notched lapel, two Metropolitan Police patches, and a “Police Academy” badge. Insignia added for display purposes only. Distributor’s label inscribed Mauser 159 44 R” and inscribed in inner pocket in white “WB71816M”.
Mr. Marano wore this jacket throughout the film; specifically in the scene where the governor announces that one of the two police academies will be closing. In the governor’s speech he says he will appoint a committee to evaluate which school should remain open, Mauser then starts kissing up to the governor.
These garments are in excellent screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
