This black jacket was worn by the character "Brett Maverick Jr.," portrayed by actor Mel Gibson, in the 1994 motion picture, "Maverick." The period gambler's jacket was custom tailored for use in the production and has the original costumer's label sewn inside with the production name and actor's name "Mel Gibson" clearly typed. Also included is the original string tie that was worn with the jacket onscreen.
Mr. Gibson wore the jacket during several scenes in the "Crystal City" segment of the film and he also appeared wearing the jacket in several promotional images for the production. "Maverick," stars Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, and the original "Maverick," James Garner.
