This red riding coat with blue and yellow collar, cuffs, and flap pockets was worn by the “Third Aunt” character portrayed by legendary actress Blanche Frederici in the 1932 motion picture musical “Love Me Tonight” starring Maurice Chevalier, Jeanette MacDonald, and Myrna Loy. Ms. Frederici wore the coat in numerous scenes during the fox hunting sequence of the film.
This outfit was acquired directly from Paramount Pictures and comes complete with the original Paramount Atelier label sewn inside with the letter “F” stitched and the name “Fed (sic)” handwritten in slightly faded ink. In good screen worn condition with original buttons missing. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
