This “kidnapping” hood was worn by the character Jack Bauer played by actor Kiefer Sutherland in the eighth season of the award winning television series “24”, which ran from 2001 to 2010. The hood is constructed of black cloth with matching adjustable drawstring at the neck. The cloth appears solid and opaque from the outside but unlike a real “kidnapping” hood, can be seen through when worn. Attached is a costume Hold tag with “24, HOLD AT EASTERN, Costume Department” written on the front and “’Jack’ Kidnap Hoods w/ drawstrings – Season 8” on the verso.

Mr. Sutherland first appeared wearing the hood at the end of Episode 7 (Day 8: 10:00pm – 11:00pm). In the scene, Bauer is captured by a group of Russians after being discovered with the body of Vladimir Laitanan (Callum Keith Rennie). Jack lies and claims to have killed him in order to protect Renee Walker (Annie Wersching). After the Russians lead him through a series of tunnels they put this hood on him before loading him into their car. Bauer continued to wear the hood until the beginning of the following episode when they tie him to a chair and remove it in order to interrogate and torture him.

The hood is in very good screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume supervisor who worked on the series.
