This British naval coat was made for Douglas Scott for use in an unidentified United production. The blue wool Napoleonic Naval coat has a stand collar, long tails, cuffs, beige wool lining, and brass anchor button detail. Internal “United Costumers” label with “206-A, Douglas Scott” hand written. The sleeve length has been shortened and the original buttons have been replaced. The alterations are pristine and the beige lining that was opened in order to replace the buttons was meticulously hand stitched. This garment is in excellent vintage condition and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the costume house.
