This is a Roman standard from Ridley Scott's 2000 Oscar-winning period epic Gladiator. This piece can be seen toward the middle of the film when Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) is returning to Rome as the new Emperor after murdering his father Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris). The standard features a long wooden pole, in the middle of which is a gold circular sculpture, as well as a tall gold spear at the top. The spear and sculpture are both made of fiberglass; the sculpture features an incredibly detailed profile of Caesar’s head on both sides. Above and below the sculpture, gold frills are wrapped around the wooden pole.

This tall standard measures approximately 109" (277cm). It is in great condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Because of its size, the item will require special shipping if ordered by an overseas customer. Please inquire for details.
