This short sleeve New York motif shirt was worn by the character Jimmy Doyle portrayed by screen legend Robert Deniro in Martin Scorsesee’s 1977 motion picture “New York, New York” also starring Liza Minelli. The shirt was worn by Deniro’s character in multiple scenes throughout the film and was the only garment of its kind used in the production (no doubles). The garment is hand painted and was washed by hand before every day of filming. Mr. Deniro also wears the shirt on the publicity poster for the film, making this a truly landmark piece of film memorabilia from one of Hollywood's greatest actors of all time!
