This watch was worn by legendary singer Axl Rose of the iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses. Made by “Lorus”, this quartz watch includes the Disney character “Mickey Mouse” on the face and a black stainless steel bracelet with a deployment clasp. There is evidence of wear around the face and the bracelet from frequent use.

Axl can be seen wearing this watch during live performances and promotional images. Legendary photographer Neil Zlozower photographed Axl and the band for the “Appetite for Destruction” album and world tour. The images are iconic in their own right and have been used on album covers, posters, and various magazine covers since 1987, most notably on “Rolling Stone Magazine” Issue #1032 August 9th, 2007. Additional images from the same photo shoot can be seen on “Spin Magazine” September 1994, “Blast” November 1988, and in largest detail on “Rock Hard” Issue No 1. Axl can also be seen wearing this watch early on in his career with G N’ R, as made evident in photos by Marc Canter, while performing at The Troubadour on July 11, 1986

Acquired from the collection of Erin Everly, Axl’s first wife, in the Julien’s “Icons and Idols: Rock N Roll – December 2013” sale. The item is in good used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Guns N' Roses nicknamed “The Most Dangerous Band in the World”, are credited with reviving mainstream rock music in the late 1980s with such hits as “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Paradise City”. Their debut album “Appetite for Destruction” (1987) reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts and sold over 28 million records worldwide, making it one of the best-selling debut albums of all time. It was their stage presence, style, music and rebellion that made Guns N' Roses in a league of their own and in 2012, the band members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
