This screen used prop was featured in the 1998 spy-thriller, “Enemy of the State.” This handheld NEC “TurboExpress” gaming prop device is constructed out of a dense rubber and was used in the filming of action sequences and stunts. Parts of the prop were hand painted to match the detail of the electronic device and it includes a partial sticker resembling a cartridge with the printed text “PCMCIA PERSONAL FILES”, “1” and “200 MB CAPACITY”. Also on the back of the device is a “NEC Technologies” sticker. This item comes with dozens of cartridge stickers that include the character’s name “ZAVITZ PERSONAL FILES” with numbers printed “1” through “10”.

This prop was used when Zavitz (Jason Lee) escapes onto his apartment roof as NSA agents chase after him. He runs through buildings but is eventually trapped in a lingerie boutique, where he slips the device into Robert Clayton Dean’s (Will Smith) shopping bag. The “ZAVITZ” sticker is used only in one scene and is prominently visible when Dean finds former NSA agent “Brill” (Gene Hackman) and he inspects the toy.

Directed by Tony Scott, Enemy of the State is a spy-thriller about a unit of rogue National Security Agents who assassinate a US Congressman and try to cover up the murder. Jason Lee’s character “Zavitz” captures the incident on film and passes it onto Robert Clayton Dean (Will Smith) setting a chain of events that ultimately has Dean running for his life. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film went on to gross 250 million dollars worldwide. The prop is in good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
