| This shirt was worn by the character “Dalton Trumbo” portrayed by Bryan Cranston in the 2015 motion picture “Trumbo,” co-starring Helen Mirren and John Goodman. This is a vintage 1950’s white and brown striped button down leisure shirt with two lower patch pockets and “EC” written on the collar. Attached is the hold tag with “#3912 LINE 9, Hold @ Eastern, 1. Dalton, Ch. 58” written on the front and “TRUMBO” written on the verso.
Mr. Cranston wears this shirt when he receives a phone call from director “Otto Preminger” (Christian Berkel) about the Spartacus article in the New York Times, crediting Dalton as the writer.
“Trumbo” revolves around screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and the other “Hollywood Ten” artists that were blacklisted in the film industry for their political beliefs. Bryan Cranston was nominated for Best Actor at the 88th Academy Awards, and Helen Mirren was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards.
