This live firing Smith & Wesson 5946 was used by the character "Silvio Dante" portrayed by Steven Van Zandt in the award winning series “The Sopranos”. Mr. Van Zandt can be seen firing the weapon in “Funhouse” (Season 2, Episode 13) during the sequence in the galley of the Stugots where Silvio, "Paulie" (Tony Sirico) and their boss "Tony Soprano" (James Gandolfini) finally confront “Salvatore 'Big Pussy' Bonpensiero" (Vincent Pastore) after confirming that he’s been wearing a wire for the feds. After pumping him for information, the three mobsters drink a round of tequila with their former friend and then all three open fire on him and kill him before removing his jewelry and chucking his weighted body overboard into the sea.

“Big Pussy” Bonpensiero was one of the most popular principle characters on “The Sopranos” and this landmark episode provided an unexpected shock to devoted fans of the series while also serving to heighten the threat of indictment for Tony from the F.B.I. after having one of their key informers on the Soprano crime family suddenly “disappear”. The weapon is in excellent fully functional condition and will be accompanied by certification and a copy of the rental records from the entertainment armorer who provided the weapons for the production.

THE WEAPON CANNOT FIRE LIVE AMMUNITION AND HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO FIRE BLANKS ONLY.
