This tunic made for Star Trek : The Experience located in the Las Vegas Hilton. The tunic made for a host portraying a Klingon and was designed to replicate the wardrobe used in the Star Trek films and television series. The tunic is constructed out of heavy duty plastic with an oversized chest plate, detachable collar with signature Klingon insignia, faux belt with five silver button detail, silver chain with attached whistle, and a back Velcro closure. Internal “International Costumes Inc” label.
Star Trek : The Experience opened January 1998 at the Las Vegas Hilton and operated until September 2008. After purchasing a ticket, visitors would walk through a museum that featured Star Trek memorabilia before entering into The Klingon Experience and The Borg Invasion 4-D. Visitors would also have the option of eating in the Star Trek themed restuarants and shopping in the gift stores where all wait staff and employees were dressed as Klingons and other notable Star Trek characters. Different versions of the tunic were worn by various actors over the course of the attraction’s ten-year run.
This tunic is in excellent condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
