This garment was worn by “Captain Harris” portrayed by G.W. Bailey, in the 1988 comedy “Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach.” The navy single breast police dress jacket is complete with Metropolitan Police Badge and Metro Police patches on each shoulder, “Metropolitan Police: Integrity, Knowledge, Courage; To Serve and Protect”.
Mr. Bailey can be seen wearing this jacket throughout the film, most notably when “Commandant Lassard” (George Gaynes) goes to Miami to receive an award and the two are kidnapped by Diamond Smugglers.
The jacket is in good condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
