This two-piece ensemble was worn by the character “Julie Nichols” portrayed by actress Jessica Lange in the 1982 motion picture “Tootsie”, which starred Dustin Hoffman, along with Geena Davis and Bill Murray. The light green sweatshirt with crew neckline has slight shoulder burn and staining down the front. The grey drawstring sweat pants are in good screen used condition.
This outfit was worn in the pivotal scene when Julie finds out that “Dorothy” (Dustin Hoffman) is actually a man, “Michael Dorsey”. Ms. Lange won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Julie Nichols. The garments are in excellent screen used condition.
