This prop Department of Justice ID card was used by the character Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland in the third season of the award winning television series “24”, which ran from 2001 to 2010. The laminated ID card was custom made and includes a faux Department of Justice seal, “Jack Bauer”, signature field with “Jack Bauer”, barcode, and photo of Jack Bauer.
The prop was used in Season 3 Episode 1 “Day 3: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.” Jack Bauer is visiting “Ramone Salazar” (Joaquim de Almeida) in prison in hopes to gather information to thwart a deadly contagion attack. When Jack is buzzed into the prison, his image pops up on their interior security system. This image is an exact match of what is on the Department of Justice ID card. After Jack is buzzed in, he hands over his ID card for a prison ‘Visitor’s Badge”; however, there is no clear shot of the ID card on screen.
The prop badge is in excellent screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the property master.
