This non-firing Python prop revolver was used by the character “P.K. Highsmith” portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the 2010 action comedy film “The Other Guys” also starring Dwayne Johnson AKA “The Rock”. The prop Python is constructed of black plastic with functional trigger, hammer, and rotating chamber. This prop is extremely well made and looks like a real live firing Python.

Mr. Jackson used this prop gun during the opening sequence of the film when Highsmith and fellow officer “Christopher Danson” (The Rock) are involved in a high-speed car chase and gunfight. Highsmith fires his Python out of his driver’s side window several times during the chase as he and his partner pursue the bad guys through the streets of Manhattan. Mr. Jackson used the prop weapon throughout the extended stunt sequences in scenes where a live firing weapon was unnecessary.

Mr. Jackson also appeared wearing the gun in a holster during the scene at the Press Conference outside City Hall when he and Danson greet the press after the incident and in the following scene where the two “Super Cops” return to the station and invite most of their fellow officers to a celebration party afterwards. Mr. Jackson again used the stunt gun during the action sequence when Danson and Highsmith attempt to foil a jewelry heist in downtown Manhattan where the robbers use a wrecking ball to destroy several cars and punch a hole through the side of a jewelry store.

The prop weapon is in good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the weapons specialist who oversaw its use on the production. Presented by The Golden Closet, your premier source for screen used wardrobe, props, and collectible music entertainment memorabilia.
