This necklace was worn by the character “Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Miller” portrayed by singer/actress Miley Cyrus in the 2010 motion picture “The Last Song”. The long metal chain necklace features a large skull pendant hand carved out of clear stone in a metal rim setting.
Ms. Cyrus is first seen wearing this accessory when Ronnie hangs out with her friends at the boardwalk at night, then returns home late to find her father (Greg Kinnear) playing piano. Ronnie is then disappointed to discover she has to share a room with her younger brother, but comforts him when she learns he’s afraid their father will become estranged from them again. She appears wearing the necklace in multiple scenes throughout the rest of the film as Ronnie slowly develops a romance with Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth).
Apart from this rare dramatic role for the actress, “The Last Song” also featured standout performances by Greg Kinnear and Liam Hemsworth, and the film won two Teen Choice Awards in 2010.
