HART’S WAR- Colonel William McNamara (Bruce Willis) - WWII Military Uniform

Price: $1,850.00
This signature costume was worn by the character “William McNamara” portrayed by the actor Bruce Willis in the 2002 film “Hart’s War”, co-starring Colin Farrell. This WWII OD green military costume consist of a wool shirt with silver and gold military collar insignia, two patch pockets, and button front, matching pants with zip fly, two slash pockets, two flap pockets, and distressed with dirt from production, wool scarf, and khaki web belt. The envelope cap with insignia has MacNamara #4 hand written in black ink. Internal Motion Picture Costume Company labels with “McNamara” hand written in black sewn into the pant and shirt. Mr. Willis wore this outfit throughout the film, underneath several winter jackets and sweaters, most prominently when “Lt. Thomas Hart” (Colin Farrell) is brought to the P.O.W. camp where “McNamara” (Bruce Willis) is the commanding US officer. When Hart and his group first arrive, they witness McNamara publicly saluting a trio of dead Russians, hanged as examples for trying to escape. This salute is a challenge to the Nazi command, and establishes McNamara as defacto leader of the POWs. Later, McNamara summons Hart to his bunker to meet. McNamara questions Hart about his time in a Nazi interrogation center. Determining Hart to be untrustworthy, McNamara assigns him to sleep in a bunker with lower-ranking officers.

This costume was acquired direct from the “Collection of Bruce Willis”, and is in good screen worn condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
