These drums were used by the character “Andrew” portrayed by Miles Teller in the 2014 Academy Award winning motion picture “Whiplash”. This Matte brown O.C.D.P. Venice Series Drum set consists of a 16 X 14 floor tom drum with faux blood stains on the G1 Evans drumhead, damaged connector and scratches next to the connector, snare drum 14 x 7 with hit marks, faux blood drips, and screen matched blood streaks on the Evans G Plus drum head, base or kick drum 22 x 20 with one loose screw inside the drum, hanging Tom drum 12 x 9 with hit marks and smeared faux blood with one drip at top of the G2 Evans level 360 drumhead, and faux blood drips on the rim.
This drum set was used by Andrew in various scenes throughout the film, including with Fletcher’s “Shaffer Observatory Studio Band”, practice scenes, and in both competitions. Most notably after the car accident sequence, despite the major head trauma and blood running into his eyes, Andrew runs on foot to the concert hall and attempts to perform in the "Dunellen Competition". “Fletcher” (J.K. Simmons) tells him, "you are finished!” Andrew, infuriated, jumps through the drums, across the stage, and tackles Fletcher. The damage to the floor tom and blood on the drum heads occurred during the filming of this scene.
This drum set is in good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
