This prop Sig P 2295 pistol was used by the character “Michael Jennings” portrayed by actor Ben Affleck in the 2003 motion picture “Paycheck” directed by Jon Woo. The non-firing prop gun is constructed of dense rubber with hand painted details to simulate the appearance of a live firing metal weapon. The bottom of the gun has a “control number” issued by the Canadian Government which was required to keep track of the realistic prop weapon while used during filming in the country.

Mr. Affleck used this prop weapon in multiple scenes during the thrilling chase sequence when Jennings is pursued by agents of his former employer, “Rethrick” (Aaron Eckhart). Jennings manages to retrieve this weapon from one of the men during a struggle in the underground maintenance tunnels, and then attempts to escape through the adjacent subway tunnel before being confronted by the villainous “Wolfe” (Colm Feore). At this point in the film the gun was used in a trademark Jon Woo “stand off” scene with Jennings and Wolfe both aiming at each other’s heads at point blank range. Jennings escapes by detonating the gun’s ammunition clip on the electrified “third rail” and flees down the tunnel before ditching the empty gun.

The prop weapon is in very good screen used condition with some minor loss of paint that occurred during the action sequence. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the film’s weapons coordinator who oversaw its use on the production.
