The butterfly bowties were worn by the legendary actors Bob Hope and Burt Reynolds during the television special “Bob Hope & Friends: Making New Memories”. The royal blue pre-tied silk bowties have Velcro closure and are in excellent condition. Worn during a skit with actor Burt Reynolds, wearing an identical ensemble, where they both play phony waiters.
The television special “Bob Hope & Friends: Making New Memories” originally aired on September 12, 1991 and featured appearances by a wide array of Mr. Hope’s famous friends including Garth Brooks, Rosanne Barr, Debbie Reynolds, Angela Lansbury, Dorothy Lamour, Kathy Ireland and many others.
The bowtie is in excellent condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
